Commissions
Q & A
What is a commission?
I work on commissioned paintings, which involves creating a custom piece based on the client's vision and requirements. I am open to considering a commission if it aligns with my style and interests.
Why order a commissioned painting?
My commissioned paintings are highly personalized and therefore, one-of-a-kind artworks. They make wonderful gifts for your loved ones, which they can cherish for a lifetime. My goal is to create something that not only meets but exceeds your expectations, and fills you with a sense of pride and satisfaction.
What type of art do you make?
I specialize in abstract realism in my paintings. To get a sense of my style, I recommend checking out my collection. It's important to note that I am visually impaired, so my paintings have a blurred effect and I don't typically create highly detailed work. I paint what I see, and my unique perspective may result in a distinct and interesting piece of art.
What media do you work in?
I enhance the texture of my paintings with high quality acrylics, and I sometimes incorporate mixed media such as sparkles, and even LED lights in some pieces. Typically, I work on canvas, but I have also painted on wood and even on boxing gloves. While I may not be able to accommodate every idea, I welcome a challenge and I am open to hearing any creative concepts you may have.
What can I expect with a commissioner painting?
Each artwork is created based on the specific details and reference photos you provide. For larger or more complex pieces, or if you request it, I will provide progress pictures as I work on the painting to ensure that we are aligned. You will also receive photos of the final painting, which will need to be approved by you before the painting is delivered. I can make any minor adjustments you desire at this point before the painting is packaged and shipped with the utmost care.
How long do commissioned paintings take?
I receive a high volume of requests for commissioned paintings, so there is usually a waiting list. The time it takes to complete your painting can range from 1 to 4 months, depending on the size of the piece and the current waitlist. It's important to contact me well in advance of any deadlines you may have, and please let me know if there is a specific date by which you need the painting.
What is the payment process?
A 50% deposit is necessary to initiate the commissioned artwork, while the remaining 50% is due upon completion of the project and your complete satisfaction with the work.
How does pricing work?
The price of a commissioned painting is determined by its size and level of complexity or detail required.
I am excited to bring your vision to life through my paintings. To start the process, kindly fill out the request form and let's begin this creative journey together.

Don Julio 1042 80th anniversaries celebration bottle. I left out the labels on this bottle partly because my eyes don’t see fine detail, but most importantly because I wanted this to catch the attention of the TRUE 1942 fans. 2022
