Attending the San Diego Magazine Celebrating Women Awards this year was an honor beyond words. When the Art and Design category winner was announced, I was thrilled for the incredible woman who took home the award, truly happy for her well-deserved recognition.
Then, after all the category winners had been announced, they revealed one final award: the Magazine’s Choice Award. And to my surprise, they called my name! I’m still in shock, filled with gratitude and joy. Thank you to everyone who supported me on this journey, and thank you, God, for this unforgettable moment.
The award itself is a beautifully engraved glass plaque from Tiffany & Co. with my name on it—a personal and meaningful touch. Along with this incredible recognition, I received a gorgeous crystal jewelry set from Kendra Scott, including earrings and a necklace I can’t wait to wear.
Adding even more to this memorable night, I was given a lovely gift basket from Rancho La Puerta resort and spa, flowers, a spa gift certificate, and inspiring books. I’m so touched by all these thoughtful gifts, and I feel beyond grateful.
Thank you, San Diego Magazine, for this amazing recognition and for making the evening so special. Being nominated was already a win, but this award and the outpouring of kindness and support mean the world to me. Creating and sharing my art can be a challenging journey, but moments like this renew my spirit. Whenever I face tough times, I’ll look at my award, remember this night, and keep going with gratitude.
